Valentine finit les qualifications pour le Duramed Tour a la 18eme places. Le dernier jour fut un peu plus difficile avec beaucoup de vents qui ont rendu les choix de clubs tres durs. A la fin de la journee Valentine etait decue par la qualite de son jeu les 2 derniers jours et par son manque de birdies tout au long du tournoi. Mais avec un peu de recul elle est quand meme satisfaite de son premier tournoi pro. Elle finit 18eme en ne jouant pas a son top niveau ce qui est tres encourageant pour la suite. Valentine voudrait remercier toutes les personnes qui l'aident au cours de l'annee: La Federation Francaise de Golf (FFGolf), le Golf de Saint Cloud, la Ligue de Paris, ses coachs a TCU, son pro Mike, son entraineur physique Coach J, son entraineur d'equipe de France Karine Mathiot ainsi que sa famille et ses amis qui la soutienne. Valentine est de retour a Fort Worth ou elle va rattraper les cours continuer son entrainement physique et golfique pour preparer au mieux la saison 2010.

Valentine finished the Duramed Futures QSchool in a T18. The last round was pretty hard with a lot of wind which made club selection very tough. After the round Valentine was pretty disappointed with the quality of her game the last 2 days and the lack of birdies. But she knows that for the 1st pro tournament, to finish T18 is not a bad start and it shows a lot promises for the future! Val would like to thank the people that help and encourage her throughout the year: The French Federation, the Saint Cloud Country Club, the Ligue of Paris, her coaches at TCU, her swing coach Mike, her work out trainer Coach J, her coach on the French Team Karine Mathiot and her family and friends. Val is back in Fort Worth to catch up on school work and to start preparing the 2010 season.

T11 and one round to go

1er contrat rempli pour Valentine, elle passe facilement le cut fixe au top 90exeaquo. Elle est 11eme ex (74-71-70-72) apres 4 tours. Valentine est d'ores est deja assuree d'avoir une categorie pour jouer les tournois du Futures Tour. Demain dernier tour, l'objectif est de rester dans le top 20 pour obtenir une categorie pleine (donnant acces a tous les tournois en priorites). Valentine est plutot contente de son grand jeu, elle se donne enormement d'opportunites de birdies; cependant elle n'a pas encore reussi a toutes les concretiser! Valentine succesfully made the cut at the Duramed Futures Tour. She is currently T11 (74-71-70-72) after 4 rounds. She has already secured some playing opportunities for next year on the Futures Tour. Tomorrow, her goal is to stay in the top 20 to secure 100% of playing privileges. Val is pretty happy with her long game, she has given herself a lot of birdie opportunities, unfortunately she wasn't able to convert all of them! 2 rounds in the books

Apres 2 tours, Valentine est 28eme ex. Elle joue 74 - 71. Le premier jour son grand jeu a ete tres bon mais elle n'a pas eut beaucoup de reussite au putting. Aujourd'hui, elle a touche 100% de fairways, touche 15 greens et fait 31 putts. Son tres bon score lui permet de bien remonter au classement. Cet apres midi, Valentine va faire un petit entrainement physique puis se reposer car elle joue tot demain.

After 2 rounds, Valentine sit in a tie for 28. She shot 74 - 71. The first day she had a very solid long game but wasn't able to convert her putts. Today, she hit all the fairways, 15 greens and had 31 putts. Her score allows her to move up the leaderboard. This afternoon, Valentine will work out and relax because tomorrow she will be teeing off early.

Tomorrow Valentine starts the Duramed Futures Tour Qualifying School. She will tee of at 8:40 from the 1st tee, she is playing the Ridgewood Lakes and Country Club. Valentine still has her French fans (her mom and brother) that will be there to cheer for her!

Valentine joue les qualifications pour le Duramed Futures Tour. Le tournoi se joue pres de Winter Haven en Floride. Il se joue sur 4 parcours differents. Valentine closes the Fall college season with a T32

Valentine a finit son dernier tournoi 32eme ex avec des scores de 75-75-77. Les 2 derniers tours les conditions etaient tres difficiles avec beaucoup de vent et tres froid. TCU finit 7eme, ameliorant son classement tour apres tour.

Mercedes Benz - UNLV Las Vegas

TCU finit 6eme et Valentine 29eme ex. Le premier tour fut dur pour TCU et Valentine. Les 2 derniers tours ont ete meilleur ce qui a permis a Valentine et TCU de bien remonter. TCU finished 6th and Valentine T29. The first round was a tough one for TCU and Valentine but they came back very strong the last 2 rounds. This week TCU and Valentine are in Las Vegas for the UNLV invitational. Valentine will have special cheer this week as mom Veronique and brother Arthur made the trip from France! Windy City and Mercedes Benz

Tournoi apres tournoi le jeu de Val se remet en place. Elle finit 15eme au Windy City Collegiate classic organise par Northwestern University avec les scores de 72 - 76 -72. En equipe TCU finit 10eme. Depuis presque 1 mois Valentine travaille avec sa coach Angie Larkin, son mental. Et plus precisement toute la preparation liee a la routine et la facon d'aborder ses coups. Valentine est tres contente des progres realise.

Tournament after tournament, Valentine's tournament is starting to shape up. She finished T15 at the Windy City Collegiate Classic hosted by Northwestern University shooting 72 - 76 - 72. As a team TCU finished T10.

Valentine and Coach Angie Larking have been working on her mental, to be more precise her pre-shot routine and the way she plays her shots. Val is very happy with the way things are going.

TCU finished T3 at the Dick McGuire

TCU finished T3 at the Dick McGuire. Valentine shot 75 (2 over). She finished T29 an improvement from her first tournament. Her hard work is starting to pay. Next TCU will be headed to the Windy City Collegiate Championship.

TCU in 3rd!

TCU est 3eme apres 2 tours au Dick McGuire. Premier tour difficile pour Valentine mais qui s'est tres bien rattrape sur le 2eme jouant -2! Son jeu s'est bien mis en place sur son 2eme parcours. Aujourd'hui dernier tour, objectif un 2eme tour sous le par!

TCU headed to Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire hosted by the University of New Mexico

TCU and Valentine are headed to compete at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Championship hosted by the University of New Mexico. Joining Valentine in the line up are: Rachel Raastad, Brooke Beeler, Melissa Loh and Megan O'Donnell. The tournament begins saturday and will end sunday. The format is 36-18. TCU et Valentine participent au Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire organise par l'universite du Nouveau Mexique. TCU wins the consolation match

TCU ne s'est pas qualifie pour jouer le titre, elles ont joue pour la 9eme place.
Pendant les qualifications, Valentine a fait 77-76. Le premier tour se passait bien jusqu'au 2eme coup du 18 ou Valentine s'est mis dans l'eau et a fait 9 sur le trou. Sur le 2eme tour elle a fait beaucoup de birdie mais trop de bogey pour scorer.
Pendant les match-play, Valentine a gagne ses 3 matchs. Valentine m'a dit que son jeu ete proche d'etre tres bon. Ses mises en jeu sont tres bonne, pendant ses match plays ses fers ont ete precis.
TCU est au repos leur prochain tournoi est celui de l'universite de New Mexico. Pendant ce repos Valentine en profite pour travailler son entrainement physique avec Coach J et sa technique avec son entraineur Mike Wright.

TCU failed to qualify for the Championship flight and played for the 9th place.
Valentine shot 77-76 in qualifying. She was even par after 17 holes the first round and had a 9 on 18! The second round she had a lot of birdies but was still making mistakes which did not allow her to shoot a low score.
During the match plays she won her 3 matches. Valentine said that her game was coming around. She is driving the ball very well and her iron game was very good during the match-plays.
TCU is home before heading to the University of New Mexico Tournament. In between tournaments Valentine works on her fitness with Coach J and on her technique with Mike Wright.

NGCA Match Play

Valentine and the TCU team are headed to Florida to compete in the NGCA Match Play tournament. The TCU team is composed of Rachel Raastad, Louise Kristersson, Brooke Beeler and Melissa Loh. The first day of competition the team will play 36 holes, the second day 2 rounds of match play and the last day one round of match play. The field is composed of Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Georgia State, Kent State, LSU, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, TCU, UCF, UT Chatanooga and Virginia. Valentine's college golf tournaments has been announced. Her schedule will allow her to travel almost everywhere in the US, to get used to different types of grass. She will also face very tough competition!

Internationals of Switzerland

Valentine finished T6 at the Internationals with scores of 68 - 73 - 74 -76. It was her last tournaments before returning to Fort Worth for her senior year. Valentine is very excited to go back to TCU to see her friends, team and prepare for her future. I will of course keep you updated on her results! Apres une pause d'une semaine, Valentine participe cette semaine aux Internationaux de Suisse qui se jouent au Domaine Imperial a Geneve. Valentine nous a dit que le parcours etait sublime, le retour donnant beaucoup d'opportunites de birdies.

Aujourd'hui premier tour Valentine fait 68 soit 4 en dessous du par avec un magnifique retour en -5 et meme un eagle sur le dernier trou. Elle a rentre son coup de fer 9! Valentine est 2eme avec l'allemande Pia Halbig. Cette semaine Valentine est aussi confrontee a beaucoup de joueuses evoluant dans les universites americaines (Arizona, Minnesota, Virginia, Southern California, Purdue, Auburn, UNC Wilmington). Demain 2eme tour a 11h36.

After a one week break, Valentine is playing the Internationals of Switzerland this week. They are played at the Domaine Imperial in Geneva. According to Valentine the course is beautiful and the back nine has a lot of opportunities for birdie.

Today in the first round, Valentine shot 68 4 under. She shot 5 under on the back nine with an eagle on the 18th, she holed her 9 iron!! Currently Valentine is in 2nd place with Pia Halbig from Germany. Again this week Valentine is competing against a lot of players that play collegiate golf in the USA (Arizona, Minnesota, Virginia, Southern California, Purdue, Auburn and UNC Wilmington). Valentine starts the 2nd round tomorrow at 11:36.

Resultats / Results Grand Prix des landes

Le Grand Prix des Landes a été un succés, le parcours était en très bon état et le golf toujours aussi heureux de recevoir les champions de demain. Cette année le plateau était une nouvelle très relevé avec la présence d'une équipe espagnole et allemande. Valentine fini 14ème avec des scores de 77 - 70 - 69 - 69. Malheureusement son premier tour l'a empéchée de prétendre au titre. Elle est contente de l'évolution de son jeu, il lui manque très peu pour scorer très bas. Cette semaine repos et entrainement, la semaine suivante départ pour les Internationaux de Suisse.

The Grand Prix des Landes was once again a big success, the course was in great shape and the hosts were very happy to host tomorrows champions! This year the field was very strong with the best french players and a spanish and german team as well as players from the University of Arizona, Purdue, Minnesota, Campbell. Valentine finished 14th with scores of 77 - 70 -69 - 69. Unfortunately her first round didn't let her compete for the title. Valentine is happy with the way she is hitting the ball, she is very close from shooting those very low scores. This week no tournaments, Valentine will practice and relax in family, next week she will head to Switzerland for the Internationals.

British Women's Open

Valentine signe une carte de 78, en finissant par 2 doubles, elle est decue car elle etait determinee a faire une bonne carte. Malheureusement, elle ne finit pas dans le top 25 qualificatif pour les PQ2. Vacances cette semaine, la semaine prochaine Valentine participera au Grand Prix des Landes a Hossegor. Medaille de Bronze / Bronze Medal!

Un grand bravo a l'equipe de France pour leur medaille de bronze!

Le score etait de 1 a 1 apres les foursome, l'apres midi fut une rude bataille contre un feroce equipe espagnole! Aujourd'hui Valentine a ete jusqu'au 19eme pour gagner cette medaille pour la France!!!!! Belle revanche apres sa defaite d'hier!!!! Un grand bravo a l'equipe et aux coachs, capitaines.... Demain Valentine et Karine prennent la direction de Londres pour le 1er de qualifications au British Open

Congratulations to the French team for winning the bronze medal!

After the alternate shots the score 1 to 1, the afternoon was a tough battle against a very good spanish team! Today Valentine earned the winning point on the 19th and gives France a bronze medal!!!!! Congratulations to the team and the support staff! Tomorrow Valentine and Karine will go to London to play the first qualifying round for the British Open.

Demi-finales / Semi finals

L'equipe de France s'incline en demi-finales. Ce fut un match tres serre contre l'Angletterre, le dernier match decisif s'est joue entre Valentine et Rachel Jennings. Valentine s'est malheureusement inclinee au 17. L'equipe de France jouera pour la medaille de bronze demain contre l'Espagne.

The French team lost in the semi finals. It was a very tight match and the last match on the course was Valentine's unfortunately she lost on the 17th against Rachel Jennings. The French team will play Spain tomorrow for the bronze medal.

Quarts de finale / Quarter Finals

Les françaises ont battu les norvégiennes et accèdent aux demi-finales. Le matin dans les foursomes, Valentine et Morgane Bazin de Jessey, elles ont gagné 3/2 contre la coéquipières de Valentine à TCU Rachel Raastad. L'autre double français s'est incliné 1down. Les simples de l'aprés-midi ont tourné a l'avantage des françaises, Lucie, Audrey et Morgane gagnant leurs matchs. Valentine était 3 down et a reussit a remonter jusqu'a square moment ou elle a été arrettée. En demi-finales la France affrontera l'Angleterre. Valentine et Morgane jouent de nouveau ensemble, l'autre double sera composé de Lucie et d'Audrey.

The French beat the Norvegians and get to the semi finals! In the morning Valentine and Morgane Bazin de Jessey in alternate shot won 3/2 beating Valentine's teammate at TCU Rachel Raastad. The other match was won by the Norvegians. In the Afternoon, Lucie, Audrey and Morgane won their singles match giving them the victory of the match! Valentine was 3 down and got back to all square when her match was stopped. In semi finals the French team will play England. Valentine and Morgane will team up again for alternate shot and the other French team will be Lucie and Audrey.

2eme Tour / 2nd Round

L'equipe de France a gagne la qualification des Championnats d'Europe. Valentine de son cote a eut une journee difficile en jouant +5. Elle n'etait pas contente de son jeu et a eut l'impression de retenir ses coups! Demain commencent les match playset jouent pour une medaille d'or, 2 foursomes le matin suivit de 5 simples l'apres-midi. L'equipe de France affronte l'Ecosse.

The French Team was the medalist after the qualifying rounds. Valentine had a tough day, she shot 5 over. She wasn't happy with her game and felt like she didn't hit her shots with 100% confidence. Tomorrow they start the match plays and will play for the gold medal, 2 alternate shots in the morning followed by 5 singels. The French team will play Scotland.

L'equipe de France est en tete des Championnats d'Europe Dames. Valentine a fait 74 (+1), elle a tres bien joue les 9 premiers trous mais les 9 derniers ont ete plus difficiles (sous la pluie!). Valentine m'a dit que ses coequipieres sont restee tres patiente sous la pluie et les putts sont rentres! Lucie a joue - 4 et Marion -2, les autres sont encore sur le parcours. The French Team is leading the Women's European Team Championships. Valentine had a 74 (1 over), she played well the first 9 holes but struggled on the back nine (it was raining!). Valentine said her teammates stayed very patient under the bad weather and the putts dropped! Lucie shot 4 under and Marion 2 under, the others are still on the course. Championnats d'Europe / European Team Championships

L'equipe de France et Valentine sont arrivees a Bled, elles ont pu jouer 18 trous dimanche. Malheureusement aujourd'hui, elles n'ont pas pu jouer car le jeu a ete arrete pour orages!

Demain matin depart a 7h50 pour Valentine elle jouera avec une finlandaise et une allemande.

Préparation aux Championnats d'Europe/ Training camp for European Championships

L'équipe de France s'est retrouvée à Toulouse pour faire sa préparation. Pour conclure le stage l'équipe a jouer le Grand Prix de Palmola. Valentine a gagné le Grand Prix avec des scores de 76-71-71-74 Lucie André fini 3ème, Marion Ricordeau 4ème et Laura Chemarin 9ème. La semaine prochaine nous suivrons Valentine et l'équipe de France en Slovénie.

The French National Team went to Toulouse for training camp. To close training camp the team played the Grand Prix of Palmola. Valentine won the Grand Prix with scores of 76-71-71-74. Equipe de France des Championnats d'Europe/ French Team for European Team Championships

Valentine a été sélectionnée pour participer aux Championnats d'Europe par équipe dames qui se joueront à Bled en Slovenie du 7 au 11 Juillet. L'équipe sera composée de Lucie André, Morgane Bazin de Jessey, Laura Chemarin, Marion Ricordeau, Audrey Riguelle et Valentine. Valentine was named to the French Team for the European Team Championships which will be played in Bled, Slovenia from July 7 until July 11th. Joining the team with Valentine are Lucie André, Morgane Bazin de Jessey, Laura Chemarin, Marion Ricordeau, Audrey Riguelle. They will be coached by Karine Mathiot and the captain will be Anne Lanrezac.
